I am declaring today "Give Your Child a Hug Day". Big kids, little kids, furry kids, twinkle in the eye kids, give them all a big, big hug. Life is too short.
I was reminded of this by an email entitled Sad News. Indeed it was. The son of a friend of mine has passed away. We met as parent support volunteers for the NICU. Little Jacob had many health issues and his mom was an inspiration to me, giving of her valuable time. Now I am left feeling helpless as to how comfort her. Alas I know the only comfort to loosing a child is time. Eventually time spares us the constant sorrow and provides us blessings along the way. So in honor of Jacob and his grieving family please search your life for such a blessing and give it a hug.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend's little boy. This post is so beautiful and what better way to recognize the life of little Jacob than to remind the little ones in our life how much we love them. Beautiful!
